🌈 Wrapping Up June with Gratitude, Growth, and a Peek at What's Coming!
June has been a colourful and creative month here at Summers Sensory and Co! As a small business dedicated to creating inclusive, play-based resources for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, we’ve loved every moment of growing this community of parents, caregivers, and educators. From Pride Month celebrations to the launch of our farm sensory theme, this month has been filled with joy, learning, and sensory magic. ✨

💛 A Heartfelt Thank You
All of us here in our little corner of the internet have been completely overwhelmed by the love and support we’ve received already 🥹💛 Whether you’ve read our blog, followed us on social media, downloaded a freebie, or browsed our resources — thank you. We are so lucky to have you in our community
This first month has been a whirlwind! From figuring out how to set up social media accounts 📱, to designing the kind of early years resources I was always searching for when I was still teaching 👩🏫 — every day has been a learning curve, but also such a rewarding journey.
🌟 What We’ve Been Up To This Month
Here are just a few highlights from what we’ve accomplished in June:
🌾 Launched our Farm-Themed Sensory Activity Pack (perfect for babies aged 3–18 months!)
🌈 Shared our Pride Month Posters and Printables to support inclusivity and belonging
👶 Created content specifically for baby sensory play — safe, simple, and engaging!
🎥 Started building our Instagram and TikTok with tips, affirmations, and early childhood advice
🧠 Connected with fellow parents, SEN families, and early years educators around the world 🌍
🏳️🌈 Celebrating Pride Through Play
Our Pride resources are some of our absolute favourites because of the incredible influence they can have on the next generation. Whether it’s through rainbow-themed posters, inclusive nursery rhymes, or positive affirmations, we’re passionate about helping families and educators create a world where all children feel seen, loved, and valued.
Inclusion isn’t just a buzzword here—it’s part of every theme, every printable, and every plan we make. 🌈💖

🐄 The Farm Theme That Started It All
Our Farm Sensory Pack will always hold a special place in my heart. It was the theme that brought this whole project to life—from a cardboard box of homemade play materials to a fully-fledged resource bundle available to others!
This month, we’ve helped families create meaningful sensory activities for babies as young as 3 months. One personal favourite moment? Discovering my own little one really doesn’t enjoy cold sensory play ❄️😂 (We dyed yoghurt brown for some taste-safe mud… safe to say, it wasn’t a hit!)
👶 Sensory Tip of the Month
If your baby dislikes cold textures like mine, try these warm, safe alternatives:
Cooked pasta or rice
Soft fabric scraps or scarves
Dry oats or lentils (for supervised play)
Warm water with floating toys
Sensory play doesn’t need to be messy or complicated—sometimes simple, familiar textures are the most engaging.
🏖️ What’s Coming in July
We’re SO excited for everything coming up next month. Here’s a sneak peek of what’s in store:
🏝️ Beach-Themed Activities (perfect for home or summer sessions)
✈️ Vacation-Themed Posters and Printables
Sensory Movement Cards for gross motor development
👩🏫 Special surprises for early years educators and home-schoolers
And that’s not all—we’re also starting to offer bundled resources and creating options for both parents and professionals. Make sure you’re subscribed to the blog and following us on Instagram to catch every update!
📘 Rebooting Our Facebook Page
Our Facebook page is now live and ready to grow! While Instagram is our daily space for quick inspiration, Facebook will offer a happy medium — longer than a caption but shorter than a full blog post. Perfect for deeper chats, resource previews, and sharing ideas in a more casual, accessible way.

🇧🇪 Exciting News: Dutch/Flemish Translations Coming Soon!
We’re thrilled to announce that my wonderful translator (also my partner! ❤️) will begin helping us translate our most popular resources into Dutch/Flemish starting in July.
This is something I’ve wanted to do from the very beginning, but the timing is finally right. As a family raising a bilingual baby, this project means a lot to us—and we know it’ll help others too. Stay tuned for updates on our multilingual resources!
